About AGM Batteries

AGM stands for Absorbed Glass Mat, which refers to the internal construction of the battery.

Unlike traditional flooded (wet) lead-acid batteries—such as standard automotive batteries—AGM batteries hold the electrolyte within ultra-fine glass fibre mats positioned between the battery plates. This design increases surface area while securely retaining the electrolyte throughout the battery’s lifespan.
